Company overview
Insider Magazin is a software product for descriptive data analysis. It is licensed to organizations through a consultative process: a demonstration, a written proposal, and onboarding of the customer's data source by our team.
The platform describes what has happened in a dataset — distributions, frequencies, trends and differences between periods or groups. It does not produce forecasts or advice. See the methodology for the definitions we use.
- Product philosophy
- Analysis should start from the records, not from a conclusion. The workspace keeps every statistic, chart and export tied to one explicit selection of data, so the numbers always agree and can be traced back.
- Research-oriented approach
- We favour established, documented methods — type-7 quantiles, sample variance, Freedman–Diaconis binning, Tukey box plots — over proprietary scores. If a method has a name, we use the name and cite the definition.
- Transparency
- Formulas are published on the methodology page. Illustrative data is labelled as illustrative. Features that do not exist yet are described as planned, and we state plainly what descriptive statistics cannot tell you.
- Technical principles
- Inputs are validated before use, dates are handled as UTC calendar days, calculations are covered by automated tests, and credentials stay on the server. Charts are built for accessibility, with tables alongside.
- Product development
- We extend the platform where customers need it, starting with the capabilities listed as planned in the documentation: self-service file upload, database connectors and team accounts.
